- a bookstall
- or delivered by paper boy or paper girl
They can be divided into:
- national (usually dailies)
- local (usualy weeklies)
National newspapers can be divided into:
- the quality press (broadsheets)
- the popular press (tabloids, "the gutter press")
Broadsheets contain:
- editorial (commentary by an editor)
- features (=articles)
- obituaries (= life histories of famous people who have just died)
- listings (of TV and radio programmes)
- a crossword
- comic strips
- advertisements
- the weather forecast
