  • a newsagent
  • a bookstall
  • or delivered by paper boy or paper girl
They can be divided into:
  • national (usually dailies)
  • local (usualy weeklies)
National newspapers can be divided into:
  • the quality press (broadsheets)
  • the popular press (tabloids, "the gutter press")
Broadsheets contain:
  • editorial (commentary by an editor)
  • features (=articles)
  • obituaries (= life histories of famous people who have just died)
  • listings (of TV and radio programmes)
  • a crossword
  • comic strips
  • advertisements
  • the weather forecast
